Carolyn Jamerson - Artist

FIDM Museum’s Collections Manager and Mount Maker, Carolyn Jamerson, is an artist who constantly explores and expanding her creative process. Known for the spectacular paper wigs, flowers, and the mixed-media headpieces she creates for FIDM exhibitions, she is also a sculptor, woodworker, and gourmet chef.

Turns out, she is a wonderful teacher, as she shows us how to make beautiful paper blooms in a new online tutorial.

Inspired by the fabulous floral objects in the FIDM Museum collection – including this evening gown by Marc Bohan for Christian Dior – Carolyn designed an easy-to-use template to make your own sartorial stems at home.

Do not forget to turn up the sound.
